See, that language already misses a subtle but important part of Steam's review system. Have any of you played this game? I've had it for years, I wasn't expecting a lot, but certainly more than this The thing is, it's in such an awkward place stuck inbetween meme-game and simulation that it completely fails at both - it's not funny or broken enough to be laughed at, and also WAYY too punishing and frustrating to open up a sandbox-y fun way of progressing through a house, opening a single drawer quickly often gets the whole house alarmed and ready to zone in on your exact location. The "storyline" just seems to be a guide to lead you towards the next house - I was 3 hours in and all I got was "hey man, can you smash the tv at this location? thanks" It's basically very early Elder Scrolls Stealth as an Alpha release without any interesting abilities or combat and you can only carry 5-6 items before you need to leave no idea, the sidewalks maybe? The gameplayloop consists of clicking on a tenant to learn their pattern (or buy the information online), come back at a certain time and just click on all doors and items you want to interact with/steal and then buy new equipment to do the same thing in a bigger house. The game feels like a 3-4/10 early access title, the stealth is horrible, the movement is awfully clunky and I kept getting stuck on. was something different.ġ5000 Reviews, 86% positive - I was expecting at least a decent 7/10 title with some clunky meme gameplay and decent ideas, but what I got was so much worse. I've had my good share of games being in the 95%+ steam category and ultimately left feeling very underwhelmed, especially if they are niche titles or have less than 1000 reviews.
